Vestibular rehabilitation is a benign, non-invasive treatment for individuals with balance or vestibular disorders. Vestibular refers to the inner ear or relating to the vestibule of the inner ear which gives us our sense of balance and equilibrium. Vestibular rehabilitation includes an individualized set of exercises and movements designed for the specific needs of our client. Some of the benefits of vestibular rehabilitation include improved balance, coping skills to deal with imbalance and anxiety, a decrease in related symptoms such as nausea and headache, and a lessoning in the length and intensity of dizziness. Our therapists will offer balance retraining, safety and mobility skills, head exercises and manipulations for vertigo.
