Functional Movement Training

Functional Movement TrainingFunctional movement training uses bands, balls, free-weights, and plyometric exercises to condition the body. Exercises are designed to mimic specific activities or skills. It is the mimicking of the ways in which muscles are used together in actual activities that differentiates functional movement training from most exercises that simply isolate the problematic area. In order to get the maximum performance quality, an understanding of what affects performance is necessary including an individual’s strength, agility, sports skills, genetic potential, and cardiovascular and respiratory conditioning.
